A little more about me.
Duncan is a 15-year-old, 12-pound male Poodle/Schnauzer/Dachshund mix. His foster describes him as sweet, friendly, easygoing, joyful, and happy. Duncan gets along well with dogs, cats, adults, and respectful children. Because of his age, older children would be the best fit. He does not like being alone and would do best with someone who is retired, works from home, or is home much of the day. He loves mealtime, gentle pets, playing with toys, and rotating among his favorite dog beds. He prefers sleeping in a dog bed rather than on furniture and enjoys affection without being overly demanding. Duncan is house-trained and walks well on leash. He may occasionally have an overnight accident but will use a pee pad. He requires a secure fenced yard. Duncan is deaf and has a grade 3 heart murmur and mild kidney disease that are being monitored. He eats a prescription kidney/low-sodium diet and will need continued kidney lab work and heart monitoring approximately every six months. Duncan is a happy senior gentleman looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and companionship.
